The trouble with `My Friend Pinto’ is that it takes so long to get to the point where it starts to feel like a film that you almost give up. Characters tumble about, minus direction.

So what is it that actually tickles the funny bone in here? Definitely not Pinto’s slow and steady steps.

On the whole, My Friend Pinto has little to endear it to the paying public. Given its poor promotion and dull start on the one hand and the dull pre-Diwali days on the other, the film doesn’t stand much of a chance at the box-office.

My Friend Pinto has a long way to go before he can befriend the audience.

The film could have been made into something relevant had it not focused on too many sub-plots. As far as comedy goes, the film lacks the punch. There’s nothing humorous about ‘My Friend Pinto’.
