There are a few overall glitches, nevertheless, watch OKK for its fresh approach and feel-good entertainment it offers.

  • The simple dialogues that are the director’s trademark, the unique narrative style, realistic characters, and excellent performances coupled with great music and stunning visuals make Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani a must-watch.

It also helps that the chemistry between the lead players is terrific. Nithya Menon is quite a revelation and Dulquer Salmaan gives her good company. The film is a bit stretched specially in the later half and some trimming was the order of the day. But the flaws not withstanding, OK Kanmani still makes the cut.

  • …is sure to leave you with an everlasting smile on your face. This is Mani Ratnam’s best work in years and this magical spell won’t be forgotten easily.

After a long time, Mani Ratnam has come up with a film that does justice to his talent. Whether you are single or committed, O Kadhal Kanmani is a must watch for all as it beautifully portrays the dynamics of two young passionate people in a relationship. Though the ending is not new, it still manages to leave an impact and melt your heart. This delicious treat from Mani Ratnam warants a visit to theatres this weekend. Take your Kanmani to O Kadhal Kanmani this weekend, and you would end up loving it.

  • The premise is simple and to Mani Ratnam’s credit, he keeps the story focused and spares us of subplots. Technically OK Kanmani is superior as both AR Rahman and PC Sreeram have given their career best work for Mani Ratnam as the master craftsman himself is in tremendous form. Compared to the mediocre cinema we have been subjected to lately, O Kadhal Kanmani is definitely above a notch. It is a film bursting with the kind of lovely little moments that’ll bring a smile on your face.

It is one of those films in which everything seems to have come together: music, acting, editing and the cinematography.

The biggest take away from the film is that Mani Ratnam, a filmmaker who was compared to an ageing boxer, has regained his sting. That’s good news.

  • The film can be called as a prequel of Alaipayuthey with all the elements required to entertain today’s young movie goers. OK Kanmani is more than just OK.

  • Okay, moral of the story – One fine morning, Mani Ratnam got up and decided to make something special for all young people out there. He then makes OK Kanmani, and in style !

  • These days it is pretty easy for any movie with a usual plot to be branded as ‘New wine in an old bottle’. But OK Kanmani for many reasons doesn’t fall into that category. When the lead pair takes the screen by storm and you have some real heavyweights wielding the camera and the microphone, you can bet your money on the entertainment that you are bound to receive. Add the heart-warming BGMs and renditions to the mix, romance just went up a notch!!
