Paranthe Wali Gali Reviews and Ratings
-
While the film is not extraordinary or out-of-the-box, it makes for a one-time watch. Overall, Paranthe Wali Gali is not a movie that offers any surprises. It does not have your regular masala, item number dose but is populated with characters you will like and a theme you will associate with.
-
Paranthe Wali Gali is a film without any flavour and it will go unnoticed.
-
While the film has all the necessary ingredients that go into the making of a typical Bollywood entertainer, the way it has been presented is absolutely amateurish. PARANTHE WALI GALI is a dull fare.
-
Sachin Gupta, the director of the film, is a famed theater director and playwright. PWG is his debut film and somehow, unfortunately, he hasn’t hit the nail with this one! From a content point-of-view, the film is strong. But the fact remains that Bollywood has done-to-death, the stories of “strugglers”.

Theatre is a creative medium and converting thoughts meant for a play into a ‘moving picture’ require skills of another sort. The intention was to make a good film, but this never got translated into one.
-
We sincerely hoped that the movie had fewer loose ends and was a little tighter. Having said that, it’s a good one time watch and after a long day at work, Paranthe Wali Gali will surely leave you feeling fresh.

Gupta’s feel-good parantha lacks spice and makkhan.
The lead actors have good screen presence but need to undergo voice modulation for their pitch stays constant. The chemistry between the two doesn’t work either. Supporting actors are pleasant, but don’t add much to the proceedings. The abrupt climax doesn’t live up to the strong initial build-up either.
