Ragini MMS Reviews and Ratings
-
The movie benefits from an inspired performance by Raj Kumar Yadav as the short-fused, profanity-spouting cad who’s desperate to exploit his shy but eager-to-please girlfriend. Borrowing visual references generously from previous hits like ‘Paranormal Activity’, ‘The Blair Witch Project’ and so many Ramgopal Varma offerings, ‘Ragini MMS’ delivers very little in terms of novelty. Still, in constructing a story around sex and scares, the makers of this film adopt Hollywood’s foolproof B-movie formula and come up with a watchable but ultimately over-long adult movie.

Ragini MMS is strange mix of Hollywood horror influences ( `Blair Witch Project’, `Paranormal Activity’) and old-style Bollywood ghost stories.
-
It’s not a bad effort — unfortunately, it remains just that.
-
Ragini MMS does not seem to be the work of one or a few creative soul, rather it looks like the handiwork of many heads trying to break creativity together that end up breaking apart the film instead.
-
Watch Ragini MMS only if you dig cheap thrills. But don’t worry about losing sleep thereafter.

The handheld camera shots, famously used in the likes of ‘Blair Witch Project’ and ‘Paranormal Activity’ are effectively used here as well, courtesy Tribhuvan Babu, the cameraman. The two relatively unknown actors Kainaz Motivala and Rajkumar Yadav have stitched up a pretty decent performance. In sum, this abnormal activity is decent enough for a few scares.

RAGINI MMS isn’t worth ‘circulating’, if you have a large appetite for horror.
