• …is no legend. It is merely a mash up of 300, Gladiator, Troy and pretty much every other film made about ancient Greece.

Drab and almost despicable, this film has nothing to offer. Honestly, it’s not even worth talking about.

  • For a movie with such an interesting subject, this one unfortunately doesn’t make the grade.

  • Strictly an average fare, Hercules will only appeal to those who can’t enough of the Greek demi gods.

There is another Hercules film in the offing this year (The Thracian Wars) but hopefully the worse in behind us. The Legend of Hercules is one of those films where if you sleep through for most parts, you won’t miss much. The good thing is, it offers considerable hope to insomniacs.

  • It’s a sad, horribly acted in, badly directed, terribly written, clunky, hammy schlockfest that somehow released in theatres instead of direct to DVD. It doesn’t help that the lead actor playing Hercules is Kellan Lutz, one of the vampires from the Twilight movies. His delivery and screen presence have the magnetism and charm of a piece of chalk.

The movie is full of cliches (unlimited use of slow-motion actions and mid-fight pauses) and forgettable dialogues.
