Time Out Reviews and Ratings

A decently played out drama about adolescence, sexuality and growing-up concerns in an upper class set-up where free thinking bohemianism is just a façade for traditional conservatism and bigotry. Though the story doesn’t develop well enough to provide thought-provoking moments, the sincerity and noble intentions of this enterprise is unmistakable.

‘Timeout’ raises a subject that is usually not tackled with any seriousness in our movies, places it at the heart of the story. For that alone it deserves props.

Timeout could have been better if it had received a little supervision from someone with more experience. The film’s plot is not bad, it’s just a little botched up with a lot of elements.

Rikhil Bahadur’s film is a gem that you rarely get to see these days. It is a family film for all age groups, that tackles the sensitive issue of homosexuality with maturity. A film that you must take some “time out” and watch with your family and friends.

Time Out may not have a hard-hitting story but it does make you think. Under its Richie Rich garb, lies a thought that’s enlightening and liberating. Both the lead actors Chirag Malhotra and Pranay Pachauri are aptly cast.
