Aside from a few sharply written scenes – including one in which they give each other tips on how to be better in the sack – the film feels tired and over-familiar, and never breaks new ground.

In effect, Two Night Stand leaves us tone cold.

The film disappoints because it could’ve been so much more.

While the plot is simple enough, this is, in essence, a pretty candid and contemporary take on young love, with its many colourful details.colourful details.

The film is neither smart enough to be interesting, nor dumb enough to be harmless. It’s a great big ball of nothing.
