War for the Planet of the Apes is that rare sequel which has surpassed its predecessors. It’s the third film in the trilogy and the best. One would go as far as to day if there is one film that you want to see this year then this is it.

The film, a revenge drama also comes with the message that violence or war is not the solution, not always. After all, an eye for an eye only makes the whole world go blind! What will happen if we keep on fighting each other and exhaust ourselves one day?

War for the Planet of the Apes is a riveting and surprisingly poignant epic that’s a shade above the rest of the franchise dreck populating every multiplex in the country. It’s as though director Matt Reeves, screenwriter Mark Bomback and the production actually put care and thought into what they were doing with their characters.

War for the planet of the apes is a combination of thought provoking, intelligent writing, spectacular special effects, top class direction and flawless performances. The third film from the planet of the apes franchise is a must watch simply because you’ve never seen anything like it yet.

It’s a rock solid thriller with a big beating heart at its center. Definitely worth your time.

This film is strongly allegoric. The evils of war, obsession, revenge and the liberating aspects of sacrifice are delineated in exciting, funny and unforgettably poignant assay.

Andy Serkis delivers yet another stellar performance with motion-capture. If only there was the pace to the story.

If you are one of the many completists of the franchise, then you may want to sit through this 150-minute torture of a war drama.

It is an impressive film, technologically astounding, and it is a hardworking film, with the camera striving to capture every puff of the nostril of its apes. But that doesn’t necessarily make it a particularly great film.

One of the finest blockbuster trilogies comes to a thrilling, sombre conclusion, thanks to Matt Reeves direction, and Andy Serkis’ great performance.
