saw the special screening of Don 2 in Dubai film festival.Frankly speaking I was stunned by the movie.Simple plot but the twists and turns in the movie were amazing. I will not reveal the plot details because you will loose interest in it.But the story is simple after becoming the underworld king of Asia,Don has targeted European underworld, the film shows the way in which Don fulfills his dream.The movie is at par with Hollywood action movies.Car chase,action,stunts,visuals were awesome.Shahrukh Khan was at his best,he gave a special feeling to the movie.But Boman Irani,Priyanka Chopra,Kunal Kapoor have also done a great job.Nawab Shah was also outstanding, he deserves a special applause. In the end Don 2 is a fine made product with an open ending.It is a must watch this holiday season.Farhan Akhtar has once again proved that he is a fine director.His directing skills are awesome, he should direct more movies.

One of the major themes of this movie was combat and warfare;therefore many scenes involving violence and fighting were portrayed using various angles. One shot in particular that stood out to me was when Ram dived off of the roof onto the helicopter. There were flames and explosions erupting behind him as he ran and jumped off. While in mid air, Ram was frozen and the view we saw was from beneath him, looking up. In that moment, the viewer is not sure if Ram is going to make it safely to the helicopter. The director took this extreme instance as a chance to use camera angles to intensify and already spell-bounding moment. It leaves viewers on the edge of their seat and really exemplifies the overall power of this movie. This movie will leave a better taste in your mouth than a Thanksgiving dinner can. The combination of action shots and intense love scenes is spell-bounding. The actors will take you on a ride as they give you some insight into their own worlds. It is normal to make assumptions at the start of a film as to what the ending might entail. I can assure you that all of my expectations were completely wrong and i was left with my jaw on the floor at the conclusion of the film. I walked away with a sense of comfort and hope that things that are meant to be, will eventually work themselves out in the end. I was left wanting more, and I think that is the best compliment a director can get.

First things first,let me tell u that I did not like the Original DON(1978) that much.It was good in parts but it was only the Aura of AB with the music that actually pulled it off. If the same story had been reused,the movie would have ended up being a disaster. But,I guess Farhan Akthar does a great job in this movie.Yes,the beginning is a bit slow but he more than makes up for it by the time the movie ends.Shah Rukh is incredible as DON and the others do their job well.The music is good(A special mention to the Background track...its incredible..).And watch out for the climax... Pros: 1)Great acting by Shah Rukh 2)Amazing cinematography (Everything looks classy and stylish..just notice the way Shah Rukh wears his tie!) 3)A nice racy background score Cons: 1)Beginning does feel as a bit of a crawl.. 2)Jasjit's (Arjun Rampal) role wasn't required if u ask me.. Overall,a great entertainer and worth the wait

In India, about 260 BC in the Empire of Magadha, the Prince Asoka (Shah Rukh Khan) survives to many betrayals of his brothers, leaded by the evil Susima (Ajit Kumar), who wants to kill him to inherit the throne. Asoka's mother orders him to leave Magadha to save his life, and while traveling, he meets Princess Kaurwaki (Karriena Kapoor) and her brother, Prince Aryan (Sooraj Balaji) from Kalinga, who are undercover and protected by General Bheema (Rahul Dev). Asoka and Kaurwaki falls in love for each other, but the mother of Asoka calls him back to Magadha. When he returns to Kaurwaki, he does not find her, since she was attacked by traitors of Kalinga and was hidden in the house of a loyal vassal. When Asoka's mother is killed by a man of Susima, Asoka becomes mad, kills all his evil brothers but Sugatra, who escapes to Kalinga. Asoka decides to conquer Kalinga, but in the end, he concludes that he has not built an empire, but conquered only corpses and destroyed everything, and he decides to spread love and the Buddhism with his son and his daughter. "Asoka" is a spectacular epic from Bolywood. In Brazil, there are very few Indian movies released on DVD, but all of them are excellent. "Asoka" is one of the best, with a beautiful romance, very dramatic situations and great actions scenes, and a touching conclusion. The actress Karriena Kapoor is extremely beautiful and sexy, and has a great chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan. The boy Sooraj Balaji has a great performance in the role of a prince. Unfortunately the lyrics of the songs have not been translated in the Brazilian DVD. From other Bolywood movies, I am sure that the songs are very important, since they always tell something about the feelings of the characters in that moment. By the way, the music score is excellent. My vote is ten.
