On the whole, Entertainment is an entertaining fare but with sectional appeal only. Its ridiculous story-line is a major drawback and will make its appeal restricted. It will be enjoyed by the masses, families and kids. Although it will keep the target audience in splits, its business will be less than its merits because it has just a week-long window, what with eagerly awaited Singham Returns scheduled for release next week. The producers may have made their profit but some of the distributors, particularly those who have paid heavy prices, will not be as lucky.

Kick is a blockbuster of epic proportions! It entertains audiences of all kinds and classes. It is the kind of film which – to borrow from a dialogue mouthed by Salman Khan in the film – dil mein aati hai aur samajh mein bhi aati hai! With tremendous repeat value too, this one will shake the box-office, set cash registers ringing and ultimately emerge as one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema. It could easily turn out to be the highest grosser of Salman’s career so far!

…is an enjoyable entertainer and will keep everyone associated with it, as also the audience, very happy. With around 75% of its cost of Rs. 28-30 crore already recovered prior to release, it is anybody’s guess that it will yield very handsome profits to the producers and distributors, right from the first weekend itself, while keeping the exhibitors smiling from ear to ear. Hit!

… is not half as funny as it should’ve been, and it is also very unbelievable. It is different from the usual masala films alright but that is simply not enough to entertain the audience or to keep the producers and distributors in good spirits. Flop.

On the whole, Ek Villain is a super-hit, a blockbuster. It will score in the multiplexes and the single-screen cinemas, in ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ class centres, and will be loved by the masses and the classes alike. It has tremendous repeat value – yes, tremendous repeat value despite being a suspense thriller.

Humshakals is funny only in parts and boring, by and large. Too farcical and repetitive and resting on an implausible premise, it will fail to make its mark at the box-office. Considering the investment of the distributors, it will entail them heavy losses.

Unforgettable is too slow and boring to make any impact whatsoever on the audience in spite of it being a visual delight. At the box-office, the film will turn out to be a hugely loss-making enterprise.

Chal Bhaag has entertaining dialogues as its biggest plus point. But the terribly immature and routine script will tell on the business of this action comedy which will, therefore, flop at the ticket windows.

Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai is a fairly well-made film but lack of novelty on the one hand and limited promotion and too much opposition on the other will greatly restrict its ability to do much at the box-office. In fact, it may go largely unnoticed at the box-office because of the aforementioned problem areas.

Fugly is a disappointing and an ordinary fare with very little entertainment value. It has some chance in the big cities only because of the youthful appeal of its title and music. Its low budget is its biggest plus point.
