• Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment may have worked for Vidya Balan in THE DIRTY PICTURE. But it’s not necessary that just the word is enough to entertain.

  • Bhai fans are going to have a blast seeing their hero ride a double decker through a crowded street, cross in front of a speeding train knocking off his bicycle, nonchalantly, at the last second, or even jumping out of high-rises. This is a definite treat.

  • At the start of the film you are assured the ingredients are just right, but as the movie progresses, you realize that Akshay Akkineni has crossed the line when it comes to stretching a horror sequence – it goes from being spooky to horrific to a joke. There’s too much of mixed toppings of pepperoni, mushrooms and onions. In the end, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

  • HATE STORY 2 is a slick film with powerful performances. You won’t regret watching this one!

  • What works for BOBBY JASOOS is the casting, what pulls it down is its writing. Had the cast been anything but this, the whole film would have crumbled like a pack of cards, because it is these actors that inject some semblance of respectability in a plot that goes all over before finally reaching its core substance.

  • To Suri’s credit must go the easy-on-the-eye treatment of the film which is what keeps it ticking (albeit painfully) apart from Sidharth and Shraddha.

Ek Villian had the potential to be a Dushman, the 1998 thriller starring Kajol, Sanjay Dutt and Ashutosh Rana.

  • I understand that this is kindergarten humour at its best, but I have just one question for Sajid; is HUMSHAKALS really a tribute to Kishore Kumar and Jim Carrey?

  • The movie is like a Yusuf Pathan innings; the first few balls are hit over the rope giving the audience huge expectations. By the fifth ball, he has holed out in the deep.

    End of story!

  • This is a well-intentioned film, with horror as its genre. But sadly, there is no link of sanity in its story-line for it to merit any sense of creativity. A frail attempt at a complex plot.

  • The only interesting part is when Sadanand tries to push in the patriotic angle. But that is like a desperate attempt to stay afloat after entering deep waters without a life jacket!

Take off Jimmy Sheirgill and the movie loses respectability. It’s like taking the ‘F’ out of Fugly!
