It is a shameful piece of cinema. I am flabbergasted at this ridiculous film. Even zero seemed like a high rating but I am left with no option, hence a 0 on 5 for this film. Filmmakers don’t respect art anymore and that’s what the problem is. I echo the sentiments of a certain song in the film -Kalega hai haazir, where’s the khanjar man? Kill me already!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali still masters his marvel at making magical films. Picking up an unoriginal and much beaten about idea, he mystically tweaks out a work of genius. Indefatigable and supremely engaging, the film despite its ostentatious feel is at core a fierce love story enacted effectively by Ranveer and Deepika. Putting up an astonishingly prodigious chemistry, the duo pull through the film with might. Cinema should be a fulfilling experience like this!

Satya 2 is amongst the worst films ever made. Varma makes a mockery of his own potential by coming up with something so outlandish, disgustingly boring and thoroughly mindless. The shockingly distasteful casting and the entirely hopeless acting of all, this film fails at every possible section.

…isn’t a terrible film but it is massively disheartening and mood dampening because of its imitative premise. Hrithik reprises his role of Krrish with an enigmatic energy and infallible which is the film’s most glistening point. The ludicrous storyline is miffing but the chiseled bodied superhero indulges us enough to make this film a decent one time watch this festive season. Don’t expect too much or pine excessive hope on this one. A well intentioned, brave effort but falls notches beneath an exhilarating cinematic experience.

Mickey Virus is quite a breather from the low IQ comedies we are subjected to on many Fridays. A tauter script, with more humor and a steamier story could have helped this film in rising above being merely a moderate entertainer. Side step your regular expectations, if you at all decide to give this film a shot. For a few laughs, a not-so-dull second half and somewhat interestingly made suspenseful story, Mickey Virus can count as an average, not a must-watch, but if you insist on going to the cinemas, this will be the sheenier one from the lot that released this week. I am going with a 2.5/5. Quasi original and sort of passable, I managed to sit through this one till the end!

Shahid Azmi should be one of the most memorable dissidents of recent times and Hansal Mehta’s film Shahid does justice in paying the perfect tribute to the slain activist! Quite aptly named, Sahid did turn out to be an angel for many who were serving years behind the bars based on needless false accusations! The film is a gripping-ly told story of courage that ends on a pertinent note teaching us the crucial lesson about the dichotomy of right and wrong. It is extremely essential in a multifaceted country like ours to be fair and the film subtly preaches the diktats of the man – the film pays tribute to – who was haplessly slain at the tender age of 32! It is a captivating film that makes me assign a 3.5/5 for this one! Some stories have that enchanting quality in them and Shahid stands as one of the potent examples in recent times.

Akshay Kumar starrer Boss manages to indulge you in a feast of thrilling ugly action and crackling comedy with its crude and rustic premise. The film absorbs you in its tottering plot despite its puerile humor and thunderous action! Somehow even with all its blunders,because of Akshay Kumar alone Boss works. Though at points I found the film horrendously bizarre, I admittedly found myself getting entertained in several parts of the film. Giving a 2.5/5, the film is worth the price of your ticket compensating well in the enjoyment quotient, the value of every penny you put into this! Akshay Kumar single handedly saves the film from being a sore bore and that is reason enough why Boss deserves a definite shot!

Faraz Haider’s War Chhod Na Yaar is a treat of film that manages to evoke moments of ecstatic delight with its simplistic take on the horrific brutality of war which pointlessly creates havoc in the lives of people. The film could have gone massively wrong but the good part about this flick is, it convinces you about its premise entertainingly. I am going with a 3/5 for this film that flaunts fun and wit without a hint of crudeness that has lately become synonymous with funny! Recommending you catch film at the theaters and have a pleasant time.

Besharam has too many shortcomings and lacks the ravishing junk delight of calamitous ending that commercial flicks usually generate. However, it is only worth for Ranbir, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor who in their respective roles, give us in patches, an insistently enjoyable time! It is fit for an average entertainer and I am going with a 2.5/5 for this sweet mammoth of passable cinema! You can go watch this and have a judiciously fun time, but don’t expect the enchantment of Dabangg! This doesn’t even near it by an ounce.

Prague is a very disappointing film simply because I had pined great hopes on it. There are giant irregularities in the screenplay which resist you from smoothly juggling between Chandan’s real and delusional world with ease. The pace is tiring and dark tinge of style doesn’t work as a plus for it! In the end it is just an unnecessarily complicated film with a confused theme at it core. I am going with a 2/5 for Prague. I can’t find myself be impressed with a flaccid film like this that bubbles up tall promises and end you in futility.
