It is bewildering how movies like Nannbenda get the nods of so many experienced stars before going on the floors. With such a wafer-thin storyline & inconsistent characterization, the film is a total let-down.

The specialty of the film is – The villain in the film is not without his nobility & the hero here is not without his faults! In bringing out memorable showings from his cast & technical crew & making Kaaviya Thalaivan a stand-out film in their resumes, Vasantha Balan elevates his own level.

Naaigal Jakkirathai is a sensibly made film with a dog as a prime character which is a rarity in Tamizh cinema. It could have been a riveting thriller had some more depth been added to the characters.

Though the intent is just not there from the creative department to differ from the usual, it never ceases from disappointing the audience with its placidity. Barring few moments of brilliance from Vijay Sethupathi and the refreshingly native setup in Kanyakumari, this one is sure to take revenge on your senses! – staying true to its title “Vanmham”, the intent for revenge!

Appuchi Graamam is just like any other ordinary village that you will see – but an extraordinary situation, forces it to change on its head and its story when captured in a good mix of an interesting master plot, decent performances and an impressively short run time, makes for a brilliant on-screen presentation! This is one village you won’t regret visiting!!

Poojai is a template masala action film from Hari with smatterings of love, comedy & family sentiment set in a well-designed plot. While it is not compelling, it certainly is a watchable festival entertainer.
