Resham Sengar's Film Reviews
-
With a cast boasting of pro names of showbiz like Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, Arshad, Huma and last but not the least, Madhuri, `Dedh Ishqiya` is a dark gem for the connoisseurs of this genre. Madhuri exudes a charming aura on-screen, and Huma rules every frame she appears on. The chemistry between Madhuri and Naseer saab looks a tad forced perhaps because of their wide age gap, but we will go for the madcap tricks cooked up by the duo Babban and Khalu.

…is a clean, light hearted and fun film but don’t go to watch it keeping your expectations too high. If you are sucker for Rom-Coms, especially the Karan Johar kinds, and if you have not watched a film in a long while, then chances are you might enjoy it.

Although not as good as ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ and ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’, Maneesh Sharma’s third directorial venture is jhataak, peppy and colourful but still turns out only to be a onetime watch!

If you ignore the few clichés (the repetition of ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ scenes and the lines that we have heard SRK speaking in his popular films), the lack of punch in the script and even the high predictability factor, then you are onboard for a fun ride with ‘Chennai Express’!

Anand Gandhi’s film should be strictly watched for three reasons: a) If you like challenging your intellect b) If you love art cinema c) If you want your eyes to absorb Pankaj Kumar’s spellbinding visuals.

Be it for its technical pros or for Dhanush’s Bollywood debut, ‘Raanjhanaa’ makes for a good watch this weekend. Four stars for ‘Raanjhanaa’!
-
Watch ‘Nautanki Saala` only if you really want to.

On a general note, ‘Aatma’ does not belong to the league of those horror films that leave a powerful impact on your mind for days, read: ‘The Exorcist’, ‘Grudge’ recalling a few. Instead, hopefully it will leave you without any fear of the unknown lurking in your heart. Signing off on an optimistic note, ‘Aatma 2’ takes the genre of horror films a notch higher.

Well, watch it only and only if you don’t have anything more interesting to do this weekend.

There has not been a single stone left unturned to capture even the nitty-gritty of the book for the film’s screenplay. That is where the real beauty of ‘Kai Po Che’ lies – in the details!
