Aaryan

Thankfully, after a draggy start, Aaryan pulls itself together in the second half. The "how" of the murders and the ticking clock deliver some genuinely racy, interesting thrills. Vishnu Vishal carries the film well, and the finale, which traps him in the killer's story, is well-staged.

While the film has an interesting premise, it falters in its execution and skewed justification for serial killings.

Aaryan ends up as a mundane, derivative thriller that feels more like an amateur filmmaker's thesis project on serial killers than a worthy follow-up to Ratsasan. The writing here feels perfunctory to the point of nonexistence, stitching together familiar tropes from Tamil procedurals into one bland yet coherent package.
