Deepak Dobriyal is wasted and so is a good concept.

The film, devoid of novelty and twist, starts to lag within 30 minutes of its beginning.

Watch it only if you want.

The movie is like a Yusuf Pathan innings; the first few balls are hit over the rope giving the audience huge expectations. By the fifth ball, he has holed out in the deep.

To come across a film with so many talented actors all under one roof is a delightful experience. Chal Bhaag is one of those hectically plotted adventure stories where the fast flowing fund of ideas and words indicate the presence of minds that understand the grammar of commercial cinema.

Chal Bhaag has entertaining dialogues as its biggest plus point. But the terribly immature and routine script will tell on the business of this action comedy which will, therefore, flop at the ticket windows.

It is such an uninspiring piece of job that even a usually fantastic Deepak Dobriyal looks intolerable. Yashpal Sharma is easily the only saving grace in the film. The rest are too caught up in trying to make sense out of the situations than actually put sense into their performance. Plus a shoddy job at the camera and edits – there is no way out for Chal Bhaag.

With a lame story, uneven performances, offensive dialogue, and storytelling that barely holds your attention, this one is best avoided!

The story is of little consequence because the makers get the basics and technicalities all wrong. They are at odds with the concept of background music, instead relying on Tom-and-Jerry sound effects to single out nonexistent punchlines. In spirit of the ongoing World Cup, if Chal Bhaag were a football team, it would be relegated to tier 3 of qualifying on the first day of the season.
