This is a film which is clearly on the right side of many of the hot button issues we need to be pressing: casteism, classism, feminism, gender identities. Even though the film is never as searing as it could have been, it is miles ahead of the original 'Dhadak', and it is still important and timely, and as political as a mainstream film is allowed to be in these times.

Dhadak 2 emerges as the most moving emotional picture on caste discrimination since Masaan, delivering a powerful and resonant commentary on social inequality through deeply personal storytelling.

It's a bold, politically charged film that raises all the right questions and draws powerhouse performances from its cast. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri share genuine chemistry, with their bond feeling raw and real, and director Shazia Iqbal succeeds in transporting the soul of the original into this Hindi adaptation.

After a long time, here's a film that does justice to the people whose stories are never heard or written about. Dhadak 2 deserves to be celebrated, watched, and streamed in as many theatres in India and abroad so more people, including the less privileged, find the courage to live and tell their truth.

Ever walked into a theatre with low expectations and walked out completely blown away? That's exactly what happened as I sat and watched the 2 hours and 26 minutes long Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. The movie, to my surprise, can easily be one of the best released so far.
