The Dhamaal boys are back for another treasure hunt, facing hilarious challenges in their quest for the Treasure of Life.

Critic Consensus

Critical consensus on Dhamaal 4 is largely negative, with most reviewers finding the film a disappointing and lazy entry in the franchise. The majority of critics cite weak, fragmented writing, recycled gags, and poor CGI as the film's central failings, with several noting it cynically exploits the goodwill of the original 2007 film. A small number of more lenient reviewers, particularly those addressing family and franchise audiences, found it passably entertaining — especially in its first half — but even they acknowledged the film runs out of steam. The committed ensemble cast, including occasional bright spots like Ravi Kishan, received isolated mentions, but were widely seen as let down by the material.

"Nothing that Dhamaal 4 throws up stays afloat long enough to give the audience anything to crack up over."

"As Ajay Devgn leaps off ships and cliffs on rescue missions, it is the new addition, Ravi Kishan as a Jack Sparrow-type samudri daku, who brings some giggles to the film. Unfunny jokes and CGI avalanche sink Ajay Devgn's creaky comedy."

"Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and others bring a mad crazy world in Dhamaal 4 which is unapologetically funny and chaotically twisted."

"Dhamaal 4 delivers what fans expect from the franchise - comedy, chaos and confusion. While the first half is entertaining and fast paced, the second one feels stretched. If you've been a dedicated fan of the Dhamaal franchise, the new installment will keep you entertained."

"...a film that sells entertainment, not logic. If you enjoy mindless comedies, outrageous situations and comedy of errors, this film is likely to entertain you."

"The fourth instalment in Indra Kumar's Dhamaal franchise is rattling, loud and ludicrous. It goes above and beyond slapstick and brainrot. But somehow, none of the constant bickering, exaggerated movements, comical accidents and confusion land. At 2 hours 23 minutes, Dhamaal 4 is an excrutiatingly exhausting watch that never moves the story beyond square one."

"You will find buried treasure before you find the comedy. Weak writing, bad AI visuals and dated humour have drained the franchise's comic spark."

"Dhamaal 4 disappoints with its lazy writing, recycled gags, and problematic humour, despite a committed ensemble cast. The film's humour is largely infantile, relying on slapstick and recycled gags, with few genuine laughs. The way Dhamaal 4 treats its female characters reveals that the filmmakers have little interest in keeping pace with the times."

"Despite the flaws, Dhamaal 4 retains the franchise for good. It is a fun rollercoaster family entertainer, with a heart, tailor-made for kids."

"At 2 hours 20 minutes long, Indra Kumar film starring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jafferi is a collection of gags, weakly stitched together."

"By pushing the series into a hollow fourth installment, the makers seem to be executing their own creative heist — mining the final ounces of goodwill from a beloved 2007 comedy to secure a quick box-office payout. Instead of crafting a cohesive narrative that leverages their sharp situational wit, the writers strand these veterans inside a fragmented sequence of sketches. For the rest, it is a test of patience."
