Guardians of the Galaxy feels fresh and zany, and impossibly hard to resist. As superhero movies go, this one's unique and original. Don't miss it.

Guardians Of The Galaxy takes place in a remarkable world drawn lovingly and beautifully by imaginative folks low on skin-coloured crayons. A world that holds not merely quirks but nuances. These are worth beholding, worth gawking at. These are… marvels.

Probably the most light-hearted Marvel movie, this one pulls you in with its wacky narrative turns and keeps you engaged in a world far, far away where anything can happen. If a popcorn cruncher is what you are out for, grab the tickets for this one. You will not be unhappy when at the end of the film, they tell you that they have just turned this one into yet another franchise. Bring them on, we say.

For someone who has grown up on Star Wars and Star Trek, this 2014 space odyssey is like a new, updated space opera replete with unknown characters and unfamiliar plotlines. It’s definitely worth a watch if space operas are your thing. Don’t judge it against epics but give it a fair chance to woo you. You will not be disappointed.

Despite these chinks, the charming performances, strange characters (don't miss Del Toro as The Collector), spaceships and of course, the 70s soundtrack (a highlight by itself) make this one a heck of an intergalactic romp.

In my opinion this is the best Marvel film made till date, even better than the Avengers. Now, I say that because of what Gunn had to work with, and how he not only made 'Guardians' take off, but how he made it soar. You will definitely want to catch this one, trust me, it's going to make your favourite list too. Also, don't forget to wait for the post-credit scene.

Guardians of the Galaxy offers good times at the cinema, especially with a tub of pop corn.

'Guardians of the Galaxy' is a refreshing change from the dark, brooding origin stories that Hollywood has been offering lately. Everyone in the movie has fun, and so will you.

The 'Guardian' characters are well-etched and their interpersonal relationships are also a highlight and are handled incredibly well throughout the film. The merging of the computer generated characters like Rocket and Groot with the human characters is seamless and so real. Unfortunately, the villains are a disappointment as they are not portrayed like megalomaniacs.

This is one of those films where a bunch of relatively unknowns make it big. It is an epic metaphor (again, another little joke from the movie). Don’t miss it on the big screen. The visuals are stunning to say the least. The soundtrack will make you smile from ear-to-ear. As you enter the worlds, be amazed and also don’t forget… watch out for the Easter eggs.

Guardians of the Galaxy is the kind of movie that frequently sends up its own clichés, only to rescue them eventually and reassert the reasons we flock to such movies in the first place.
Audience Reviews for Guardians of the Galaxy

'Guardians of the Galaxy' is a visual, interesting narrative with overcooked, but seamlessly innovative strings. It doesn't carry any patent ideas, and always feels fresh throughout the viewing. I loved these sub-supeeheroes because they've justified through their fun acts why they are original heroes in their own right.
Guardians of Galaxy is the only lyrically perfect and visually stringed into layers film in the whole Cinematic Universe. I am eagerly waiting for the third volume, although I enjoyed the second one to the least. Do you know that Thanos made his first appearance not in Infinity War but this one, actually? (Though there is zero mention of Infinity Stones). The characters are a total cinematic achievement and I recommend that to fully understand the stories (and how much did Thanos destroy in Infinity War), watch it.
But the film does come with a little slow pacing and needlessness of the narrative strings. Its emotional weaknesses, which are also the bumps in the film's otherwise perfect scripting, do make it less impactful than 'The Avengers'.
But the film is more, universally beyond watchable. Its dazzling, feel-good fun. I am going with 3.5 stars for the Vol. 1 of 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. It is the right kind of fun, one of the best movies this year.0October 06, 19
