Critic consensus

What 9 critics are saying

Critical consensus on Ishq Forever is overwhelmingly negative, with most reviewers awarding the film 20 out of 100. The only aspect critics consistently noted in positive terms was the film's scenic locations, with mentions of South Africa and visually appealing backdrops. Common criticisms include a confusing and predictable plot, weak performances from the lead cast, and a lack of genuine romantic moments despite the film's premise.

Despite the flaws, if the story of a good-looking couple stuck in romantic situations at picturesque locations excite you, you can give it a shot.

  3. Mumbai Mirror

    Film review ·

If you're keen on exploring parts of South Africa, off the B'wood map, this one's for you. But that's just one reason.

  5. IBNLive

    Film review ·

To the film's credit, locales are a visual delight. The plot could have worked if too many twists and turns weren't incorporated or if they had cast some acclaimed actors for the desired roles. Alas, the could haves weren't actually there and the film ended up being what it is. Go for it it.. actually, don't. You can easily skip this film.

  6. India Glitz

    Film review ·

Even the comeback music of Nadeem Saifi cannot save this predictable and boring film. 'Ishq Forever', hardly has any romantic scenes which touches your heart rather, ends up as a mild infatuation.

  7. NowRunning

    Film review ·

You emerge from the theater scathed for life. And with a determination that practically grown up kids who behave that way should be legally disowned by parents.

  8. Rediff

    Film review ·

If you have seen Chasing Liberty, stay away from its Hindi doppelganger. If you haven't seen the English film, still stay away from latter anyway!

  9. BookMyShow

    Film review ·

The culmination, though not remarkable, doesn't feel like a waste of time. Ishq Forever won't make you fall in love, but it will certainly not make you fall out of it. Watch it to experience exceptional equanimity.
