    If you get spooked easily, you may not mind this one. If you like horror, watch Insidious (2010) or Ram Gopal Varma’s Bhoot (2003) again. Those are classics.

  • This is a well-intentioned film, with horror as its genre. But sadly, there is no link of sanity in its story-line for it to merit any sense of creativity. A frail attempt at a complex plot.

    If you enjoy watching watching films about ghostly possessions in normal households then Machhli Jal Ki… might of some interest to you.
    But the horror genre in Bollywood needs a revamp

    Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai is a fairly well-made film but lack of novelty on the one hand and limited promotion and too much opposition on the other will greatly restrict its ability to do much at the box-office. In fact, it may go largely unnoticed at the box-office because of the aforementioned problem areas.

    The title is a popular Indian children’s nursery rhyme, and perhaps kids under the age of ten would have been the perfect target audience to frighten. Unfortunately, this film is rated A (Adults only), and therefore, falls way short of remotely acceptable levels of spooky entertainment.
