Meaghamann Reviews

Meagamann, the undercover gangster fails to be the captain of the ship...

With a power-packed screenplay, with enough twists and turns to make your head spin, Magizh Thirumeni's Meaghamann is high on suspense and drama. That coupled with deft direction and good all round performance, makes the film worth watching.

If you are looking for an action-packed film this Christmas, then Meaghamann is worth a watch with friends and family.

Meaghamann is an almost satisfying action film going by Tamil cinema standards.

Meaghamann is another film where the plot is ambitious and paper work is good but falls short in execution. Acting in most parts is acceptable but the film never manages to captivate its audience.

Meaghamann could have used a more charismatic hero, but it helps that Siva is a grade-A brooder, not given to effusive displays of emotion. Anupama Kumar compensates somewhat as a cop given to declarations like “The game is getting deadlier.” Indeed, the director actually makes us believe that Siva is in danger. Given the general invincibility of the hero in our cinema, this is no mean accomplishment — a stretch involving enemies closing in on Siva is particularly well done.

Go watch Meaghamann if you are excited by the idea of a serious action film with some style and intelligence. Magizh Thirumeni's screenplay is plausible with the right cinematic liberties.

...is an engaging action drama that unfolds with interest. But the ease with which the hero vanquishes his nemesis in the climax leaves you with a half filled stomach.
