    Pitch Perfect 3, starring Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, D J Khaled and John Lithgow among others, is basically a bland, very-occasionally-bubbling-to-the-surface, not-enough-laughs comedy.

    Thankfully, the comedy is still strong with this one. Rebel Wilson with her “physical comedy”, Elizabeth Banks through what we hope was sarcasm and sometimes even Anna Kendrick with her crazy ideas about people looking like animals, manage to wring giggles out of you often enough.

    If you have an appetite  for blingy blandness served  up with dollops of self-deprecatory tongue-in-cheek humid humour,go for it. But be warned. There  is nothing here  you would want to take  home to sleep over with.

  • Much like the Hangover sequels, this film tarnishes the memory of the original, and in a dangerous way, in that it makes you loathe the once relatable characters in the film.
