• The film employs honesty and humor to make important observations about letting go of the past and about making a real connection with someone. Yogi and Jaya won my heart, and I wouldn’t have minded spending more time in their company.

Qarib Qarib Singlle is funny and vibrant with not a dull moment except for one or two. Watch it for a clean old school romance.

If you’re in the mood for romance, you should stroll into the cinema nearby and indulge in the adventure, this movie road-maps for you.

  • Qarib Qarib Singlle is one of those films which lingers in your soul way after you leave the cinema hall. One of those films which you won’t mind watching again back to back on the same day. This is a pure desi version of Imtiaz Ali’s love stories.

  • This is the sort of script that world champions of the desi rom-com genre would’ve taken to an altogether level. To be fair, director Tanuja Chandra (in fine form) makes it more than a ‘qarib qarib’ lovely, and surely worth your while in the theatre.

This film is Qarib Qarib Perfect. The resolve of the tensions between Irrfan and Parvathy is sweet, and you are convinced love is in the air even as you emerge from the theatre.

  • Despite Irrfan Khan’s charm, this romantic comedy about the travails of 21st century relationships tries a bit too hard

Qarib Qarib Singlle is a beautiful slice-of-life film about solitude and companionship that takes time to cast a spell on the viewers but once they are hooked there is no escape from its irresistible charm.

  • Qarib Qarib Singlle is not something that you haven’t seen before. It works primarily for a few beautifully written scenes with a stellar leading pair that lends a lot of credibility to the characters they play. Besides, the film also captures North and East India beautifully. It takes you to Dehradun, Delhi, Jaipur and Sikkim and it’s a treat to the eyes.

  • The only disappointment with this film is that it starts well, but ends with a thoughtless trauma of self-realization and mutual love. The past relationships are just mentioned for namesake and didn’t do much for the film. Overall an okay to watch flick but ends without any serious thought or message.
