Go celebrate the cornball comic display by Salman Khan. You won’t get bored.

  • Ready made me laugh sporadically but beyond a point I could almost feel my brain cells shrinking and exhaustion setting in, one joke at a time.

  • If you’re a Sallu fan, you won’t feel let down.

  • On the whole, Ready has taken a flying start from North to South and East to West and, in addition, it has masala to keep the masses and the family audiences entertained and happy.

Apart from Salman, READY has enough masala to be a complete entertainer.

  • To describe this film as paisa vasool or time pass is to confess that you really don’t have a life. Because apart from two energetically filmed songs – ‘Character dheela hai’ and ‘Dhinka chika’ – this film offers little by way of entertainment. Salman Khan fans, I assure you that reruns of his ‘Dus Ka Dum’ episodes on Youtube are more likely to make you smile than this agonisingly boring film that wastes the charm of its immensely charismatic star.

On the whole, READY is strictly for the masses and for those who relish typically formulaic masala entertainers. The film prides itself with super music [‘Character Dheela’ and ‘Dhinka Chika’], gags and gimmicks aplenty and of course, Salman Khan, the beloved of the masses and the mainstay of this film. If you hero-worship Salman, you cannot afford to miss this one. Even if you don’t hero-worship him, watch READY as a stress-busting therapy that makes you smile, laugh and break into guffaws in those two hours.

Those who are clapping for this film almost got the phrase right, only it’s more extortionate than value for money: the accurate term is “paisa vasooli.” Pay up.
