Film review
Shoojit Sircar's film is a long, unhurried re-creation of a turbulent slice of India's colonial past. The first hour is a bit of a slog, but when it arrives at Jallianwala Bagh and the brutal mowing down of those innocents, the film, ironically, comes to life.
