Sonali Cable Reviews and Ratings
-
Acharya tries to pack in themes like sectarian violence and corrupt politicians amidst much sermonising, but the film falls flat on its face because there is too much going on. In the end, this is about a beautiful and intelligent entrepreneur whose reason for being is your right to get reliable upload and download quality.

Rhea fails to impress, Ali Fazal stuck playing arm candy…The film solely rests on Chakraborty’s Sonali and ironically enough, that’s why for most of Sonali Cable, the audience feels disconnected.
-
Stuck beneath this insipid and shallow film is a great idea. Through the example of a local cable operator fighting off threats from a shiny big business with a multi-crore marketing budget, Sonali Cable touches on a modern capitalist reality. The gobbling up of small business by big companies is conveyed by juxtaposing a run-down one-room cable business with a chrome-and-glass high-rise.
-
Passion, righteousness and friendship form the soul of ‘Sonali Cable’. The film is an entertaining drama about a local cable internet service provider.

Sonali Cable promises a lot but, couldn’t quite stand to it. Debutant director Charudutt Acharya who last wrote the screenplay and dialogues of Ayushmann Khuranna starrer ‘Nautanki Saala’ doesn’t completely loses its way but in the end it doesn’t quite satisfy us.
