The 3D effects are very effective especially in the scene where Patchi shrugs off the crab or when the omnivorous squirrel jumps to catch its prey. These scenes are out of the ordinary.

…a gorgeous visual feast that would delight kids.

It’s sad then that such magnificent creatures have been laid unnecessarily low by the dialogues humans have saddled them with.

…a lazy attempt at filmmaking. Watch it only if you have insomnia because the comfortable seats, the theatre air conditioning and the film will be enough to lull you to sleep.

…the biggest letdown is the wafer-thin plot and some silly dialogues marring an otherwise decent story.
Partly based on the BBC’s 1999 TV documentary mini-series bearing the same name, the only thing that works best for this film is the successful melding of CGI dinosaurs in live-action landscape settings.

The film is not-so-funny, not so educative but definitely dull with a juiceless script, yet alluring imagery.
