The only thing truly baffling is that this film is supposedly based on true events. Which means morons like these actually existed!

There are a couple of scary moments, but no relentless stretches of heart-in-mouth terror, the kind that binds this kind of thriller. Even the shark waits politely for the song to end before launching forth.

The tortoise-paced temp, the absolutely bizarre finale, and the unconvincing performances (save for the impressive Manjari Phadnis as Lady Romantic) compel you to rush out from the auditorium and drown –your sorrows in drink.

‘Warning’, heavily inspired from Hollywood film ‘Open Water 2’ with all its highs and lows is a new effort at a waterworld story, but fails to safely swim ashore even with a life-vest.

There is a reason why the film was named Warning, if you are smart you’ll get the hint! With the unnecessary 3D effects that will end up making up feel sea-sick, and a film that can sum up to be called boring, there is no reason why you should waste your energy on this one. I am going with 2 on 5 and recommend that you grab a CD of the Open Water. This one is a shabby replica of it which doesn’t match up in stature or soul.

WARNING has some nail-biting moments, but they are few and far between. Average!

Neither the screenplay nor the direction helps the cause, once they are stranded, there is precious little that happens. Watch this film at your risk, don’t say you were not warned!

Take a cue from the title of the movie, and stay away from this one!

Warning has the merits to do well at the ticket windows but it will need a sustained publicity campaign to increase awareness among the public. Without a renewed promotional campaign, the film will go largely unnoticed in spite of merits. While its poor initial is a dampener, its 3D effects and positive mouth publicity are the plus points.

Absence of thrill makes the film unappetizing. Watch at your own risk.

Warning is a genre film that takes an unusual idea to mainstream Bollywood. It may be flawed, but it has moments that thrill in the grandly entertaining manner of classic grade films. If you’re looking for two hours of chills and spills at the box office, it is your best bet this weekend.
