The Accidental Prime Minister is a different film and one must laud the courage to pick up something so controversial. However, it needed better execution to make a real impact. It is a definite one time watch with its breezy narrative, superb casting and of course Akshaye Khanna who shines like a diamond. Does it redeem the image of Dr Manmohan Singh? If you loved watching movies like Border and L.O.C: Kargil, Uri: The Surgical Attack is a film for you. It will make you laugh and cry, and you’ll walk out of the theatre feeling proud of the soldiers, both on and off the screen.

Anyone who has watched The Lion King, would first think of the cute little lion cub from the film when thinking of Simmba. Not anymore. Ranveer Singh is here to steal the name and also the roar. Simmba provides complete bang for your buck. But it will also make you rue all the years Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh have wasted without collaborating. And it will make you wish they come together again and soon. Simmba will ensure you end the year on a high. Watch it with your family and ideally in a single-screen theatre for the complete experience.

Kedarnath is a visual spectacle but could have been a better love story. However, Sara couldn’t have asked for a better launch pad or a better co-star. Sushant’s shy demeanor complements her over-the-top antics perfectly. Watch it for the chilling climax scene to which the whole film leads and also for Sara’s spunk that is a clear indication that she is here to stay!

Aamir Khan and his team thugs you of your peace of mind in this senseless spectacle that crumbles under its own weight

For someone who does not know how espionage actually operates, Vishwaroopam 2 is fairly engaging stuff. The London portion has a bit of history infused in it, which is genuinely interesting. However, the film is flat and fails to excite as much as we hoped it would.

Diljit Dosanjh’s Soorma has it’s moments and the actor-singer puts in an earnest performance. You will fall in love with his extremely supportive uncle and parents. However, given the fact that Sandeep is not as widely known as some other Indian sportsmen (read cricketers), a more fleshed out story would have been far more engrossing.

If you are a Deadpool fan, you won’t let our review be the deciding factor. And if you are not, you should book your tickets ASAP. It’s a must watch and you won’t be disappointed. For Ryan’s sake and a cameo that would stun you, the movie should be definitely on your bucket list this weekend.

Omerta is not a film for the faint-hearted. The jodi of Rajkummar Rao and Hansal Mehta has again proved that they have an hunger for brave and insightful cinema.

Missing keeps you hooked but it is largely due to the camerawork, crisp editing and Tabu and Annu Kapoor’s performance. The film is let down by bad dialogues. While Mukul has succeeded in building some truly suspenseful scenes, the film loses steam in the last 15 minutes. At the climax, you know what to expect but the treatment isn’t bad. It leaves you unsatisfied thinking it could be have been a lot better.
