Prathamesh Jadhav's Film Reviews

Now this plot could have held a lot of potential, but Sadly the Arbaaz Khan production goes down the spiral and it doesn’t take long for the sense, sensibility and a shred of doubt to go out of the window!

Parents can peacefully doze off to sleep for good 138 minutes, in case they wish to accompany their wards for this one!

PAINFULLY BORING!…You would rather want to go back to school and attend a History class quite merrily!

There comes a point through this two hour mindless affair that you stop looking at the screen and prefer to stick your nose into the smartphone. And even then the director is interested in taking the next frame and buffoonery it offers to a whole new level. Some other times it stoops so low that you stop caring and wait for the end credits to roll to heave a sigh of relief.

This Emraan Hashmi starrer will please Mohammad Azharuddin but may disappoint Chetan Bhagat!

Ghayal Once Again, in a nutshell, is Sunny Deol (and his antics) unleashed…absolutely unleashed! Does Deol deliver a solid punch in the end to make us clap and whistle? The answer to that one is a thunderous NO!

Nikhil Advani’s Katti Batti is watch-able in parts thanks to some really good moments it produces. Imran and Kangana’s unusual pairing works well for the hatke story. The film-maker has his heart at the right place, but his choppy direction fails to make the audiences empathise with the lead characters and the trauma they suffer. In the end one must add that watch this movie because it is not your regular rom com. The inherent message of the narrative is as sincere as Kangy and Imran’s performances!

A fine fine concept has been butchered in one swift stroke. Bangistan tries hard to give you those much-anticipated giggles. It ends up making a lot of noise but audiences don’t walk into the theatre to hear a bang. ‘Sound’ direction and less hamming could have saved this venture from turning into a cinematic disaster.

While our expectations were extremely high from Vidya and Rajkummar, we have to admit, our hopes were dashed! Hamari Adhuri Kahani has a series of cheesy dialogues which are sure to draw big yawns. It is clear that this Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan starrer is in for a string of harsh reviews tonight!

All in all this Purani Jeans reeks of the age-old-unmentionable-romantic-disasters that will leave you either nauseating or yawning endlessly!
