Critic consensus
Critical consensus on Mastiii 4 is overwhelmingly negative, with most reviewers finding the film unfunny, crude, and creatively exhausted. The majority of critics noted that jokes consistently fail to land, with humour described as recycled, crass, and dated. A lone outlier praised the film's over-the-top energy and the returning lead trio, while one reviewer acknowledged it may offer limited appeal to franchise loyalists seeking unabashed silliness. Common criticisms centred on offensive, scattershot comedy that feels well past its expiry date.

What if, in the name of the first, there's just non-stop cringe and zero laughs? That's the sum and substance of Mastii 4. Nothing is spared in this charmless offensive: gay people, old people, married people, are all targeted.
Film review
Mastiii 4 brings back Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoi & Riteish Deshmukh in a wild, pun-packed entertainer loaded with over-the-top humor, chaos and franchise-style madness.
Film review ·
Mastiii 4 caters strictly to fans of adult comedies who enjoy unabashed silliness, loud performances and low-brow humour. It offers a handful of laughs and some comfort-zone nostalgia for franchise loyalists. For everyone else, it’s a loud, uneven and often cringe-filled ride best avoided.
Film review ·
MASTIII 4 offers only sporadic chuckles and is otherwise bogged down by lame, recycled and needlessly crude humour. At the box office, its prospects appear extremely weak.
Film review ·
The only problem is, in this 2025 revisit of the sex comedy genre, none of the jokes land. The writing tries hard to create situational humour from Whatsapp forwards from 2015, but everything feels a bit too jaded.
Film review ·
'Mastiii 4' proves that nostalgia alone can't save a franchise running on fumes. What was once cheeky fun now feels like a forced joke stretched far past its expiry date.
Film review ·
The film has nothing good to offer. There's not even a single scene that would make you laugh out loud. Clearly, the weakest film in the franchise.
Film review ·
Mastiii 4 is neither funny nor entertaining, with the comedy collapsing under crass jokes that fail to land.
Film review ·
Now, almost a decade since the last instalment, Mastiii 4 arrives—determined to remind us why nostalgia is not always a reliable marketing strategy.
Film review
Mastiii 4 is just as offensive, random, disposable and forgettable as its predecessors. Worst of all, it isn't funny! It is a textbook example of how not to make a sex comedy, or any film, for that matter.
Film review ·
If all the adult comedies decided to walk into a bar one fine night, only Delhi Belly and Go Goa Gone may be allowed inside. The rest may be denied entry despite them being 18 plus. No Masti for them! No puns here.
Film review ·
Milap Zaveri’s latest plays out like a prudish porn fantasy parading as an unwatchable sex comedy.
