Pagalpanti Reviews and Ratings
-
The problem with today’s comedies is that they think they can get away with cast and canvas, and making poker faces on posters would led to the belief that they have made an entertaining film for families. Actors participating in such comedies usually say in interviews and write on social media how their films are not for critics and request the audiences to leave their brains at home. I did exactly that, didn’t apply any logic or brain, all I desired was laughter… where’s that? Whom should I talk to now?

Pagalpanti is sporadically entertaining, but for the most part it feels stale and ordinary. Even the appearance of a Méhul Choksi lookalike in the end cannot lift the film out of its plainness. References to current events work if you have a take on them. Pagalpanti has none.

You can imagine the standard of Pagalpanti’s humour when characters are named Wifi, Bully and Tully, a hospital placard reads Dr Trump and bitter gourd is mistaken for poison to evoke laughs…
-
An overcooked, overstretched comedy that can’t resist playing on the loyalty-to-the-nation theme

Some good actors have lent their names to this mess, for what can’t be any other reason than money and the hits somehow against Anees Bazmee’s name.

Pagalpanti appears to be a collection of improvised scenes rather than a film made from a real script. The performances are wooden, dialogues stilted and regressive, and the story – well, there isn’t one. This one is best avoided.

A Sloppy TikTok Video Stretched To A Torturous 2 Hours And 29 Minutes…

Even with an enviable starcast and heavy-duty action, Pagalpanti never really manages to pull off more than a few laughs.
