Rascals Reviews and Ratings

Donate your cash to charity instead of wasting it on this wretched film!

Two conmen trying to outsmart each other. What else? Two conmen trying to outsmart each other. And? Nothing.
-
The humour in Rascals is too loud and often unfunny while Kangna Ranaut is too hysterical and dumb-headed to evoke all the trouble and attention. Okay, so dumbness can be excused in Bollywood comedies which ostensibly revel in low IQ gags.

This one defies a film. You just lose interest after a while. As do the filmmakers. At some point, out of the blue, they just abandon the whole project, start replaying scenes from the picture, everybody begins dancing together, friends and foes, Anthony Gonsalves, Bhagguji, Chetooji. You wonder what’s going on again. Credits start rolling. Nonsense ends. Poof. Thank you.

Rascals, with no structure or motive, cannot (rather does not even try to) conceal its desperation to make itself funny. And this insecurity shows in each and every gag.
-
The film is carpeted with dreadfully unfunny jokes that insult every community including, of course, the movie-going community which is expected to laugh at a scene where Sanjay Dutt puts on an unconscious woman’s underwear on and wonders: “Why is it so much easier to take off a woman’s clothes than put it on?”

Surely smashing your toes by a hammer would be more entertaining. Invest in that hammer instead of buying a movie ticket. And please sign an online petition that will prevent David Dhawan from remaking Chupke Chupke.

Rascals is a poor comedy which will fail to make its mark.
-
On the whole, RASCALS is a madcap, over the top, zany entertainer aimed at the masses. It’s hilarious and outrageous from commencement to conclusion. If this kind of humor appeals to you, then there are chances that you will relish this one!
-
There are innumerable silly and insensitive gags including some about blind people and hungry Somalian children. And even though the film is just over two hours, rarely do you see a film that tries to stretch so hard because the plot is non-existent.
-
RASCALS is what the film promises… buy your ticket, take your popcorn, and get set for a situational comedy.
-
Oh dear. Where to begin with the film, Rascals. Sometimes the level that our writers go to recreate a hit can be baffling.
-
Seriously, the script writer – what were you thinking when you wrote such embarrassing lines taken straight from the walls of a private toilet?
