• What you take back with you as you leave the cinema in the end, is the repugnant image of these four male actors – each well into his 40s – slobbering over blondes half their age. They’re dirty old men, and ‘Thank You’ is a dirty little picture.

You know exactly what you are in for, if you’re in a film which has Suniel Shetty delivering the maximum laughs. Thank You promises you a huge passel of nothing: no story, no sense. On all those scores, it doesn’t disappoint.

High production values — glitzy locales, jazzy styling — and Pritam’s pop numbers and you have a film that can be an average weekend getaway. Nothing more, not even Mallika Sherawat’s item number.

  • I can assure you that my ego was not boosted. In fact my brains were battered to pulp and my eardrums are still recovering from Pritam’s cacophonous sound-track. I’m going with one and a half star.

  • Annes Bazmee should perhaps say ‘sorry’ for offering nothing new in THANK YOU. Watch it for Irrfan, if you must.
