Thor: The Dark World Reviews and Ratings
-
As superhero movies go, this is underwhelming stuff. …Only enjoyable in spurts.
-
… the shape-shifting Loki is the only character who makes himself new and interesting. When he is around, ‘Thor: The Dark World’ becomes a different film altogether. You wish there was more of him.
The rest of it is metal clanking.
-
You’ll be hard pressed to find another hero so totally, awesomely Super.
-
In the Marvel movie-verse, it is hammer time again. A $200 million-plus son-et-lumiere spectacle, Thor is recommended for those with a taste for a decidedly funny fantasy.
-
Ardent fans (who should stay through the credits) will likely be satiated by the pleasing enough Thor: The Dark World. But perhaps at this point, even diehards may wish for something more from a Marvel equation that often subtracts humanity.
-
This movie is also about sibling rivalry as well as a long-distance love story with an intergalactic twist. Don’t miss this one.
-
Thor rises to the occasion, he flies, but doesn’t quite soar! Fans won’t be disappointed though.
-
The focus here is not so much about narrating an original adventure as it is about how engagingly the film narrates a predictable storyline. The climax as well as its build-up make for all-out fun.
Bring on Thor 3, but serve it with a few surprise spins.
-
…is not such a bad outing, you wish there was more though, not in terms of time but content.
-
…has the same problems that Iron Man 3 did — it’s a mess, and it shows. The narrative is all over the place, catering to the dumbest possible audience. From jarring editing to tonal shifts, there is no semblance of flow or continuity to be found in Thor 2.
-
All in all, a good comic-book film. Definitely worth catching.
