Director Satyajit Bhatkal draws out an earnest performance from Darsheel Safary, but there is little in this film that children in the audience are likely to embrace. Missing any fun or visual inventiveness even, ‘Zokkomon’ is a dull film that’s difficult to endure.

And when will we have a children’s film that steers clear of the sort of heavy vocabulary which uses such words as ‘paakhandi’ and ‘andhvishwaas’? Too bad Zokkomon doesn’t make full use of its potential.

An interesting watch for kids, Zokkomon may be the beginning of a better branch of tween films.

This is a Disney movie. The future is yet to come. This one’s a shaky, false start at best, or nonetheless.

Darsheel fans might just want to see this film. But be prepared to get disappointed. The rest are better off giving it a miss.

The film is derivative, relentlessly foolish and staggeringly boring. Zokkomon is yet another Indian kiddie flick in which the creators believe that children equal low IQ.

With limited special effects and unnecessary running time, this Disney production is way below the mark when compared to slick and smart Hollywood films on offer for the young audience.

All in all, Zokkomon disappoints. It will fail to make any mark at the box-office.

Superhero film ZOKKOMON isn’t super and far from being close to it. It doesn’t offer much to appeal the young audience, for whom it’s primarily made.

One wouldn’t like to see Zokkomon as a wasted effort. It pushes the envelope a little towards the right direction in providing entertainment for kids. Through Darsheel’s endearing screen presence the plot is able to overcome its inherent deficiencies and connect with young minds.

Bollywood lacks good children’s film and ‘Zokkomon’ comes as a breath of fresh air.
