• Baar Baar Dekho is too confusing a film to be understood and enjoyed by the public. Despite hit music and a good-looking lead pair, the film will meet with a poor fate at the box-office. Its poor initial is another minus point.

  • Happy Bhag Jayegi is good in parts only, but the contrived screenplay will do the film in. In the final tally, it will not be able to do much at the box-office.

  • …a box-office winner. It will keep the audience as also its producers, distributors and exhibitors happy and smiling.

  • …is a box-office disaster and will be rejected by the paying public. It will entail back-breaking losses to its producers and distributors and to everyone associated with the film and will, therefore, go down in film history as a colossal flop.

  • Dishoom will emerge victorious at the box-office. The entertainer will keep its producers, distributors and exhibitors happy.

  • Sultan is a blockbuster and will go on to write box-office history. It will smash old box-office records and create new ones. It will turn out to be one of the biggest ever blockbusters, if not THE BIGGEST ever so far!

  • Udta Punjab is a dark film but yet, it is an entertaining fare. It may be for a limited audience only, but the size of the target audience is big enough to see the film cross the average mark and generate profits. This, despite the fact that revenues from sale of satellite rights will be very limited. Business in Punjab will be excellent for obvious reasons.

  • Housefull 3 is an entertainer all the way. It will keep the audience laughing in the cinemas, and the producers and distributors laughing all the way to the bank.

  • Sarbjit has an emotional drama as its plus point but its slow pace, docu-drama-like feel, tragic ending and unfulfilling drama will be the stumbling blocks in its box-office journey. This Sarbjit is destined to suffer at the turnstiles and to fight a losing battle.

  • Baaghi has extraordinary action and good music as its plus points but a weak script as a minus point. It will score with the masses and will, therefore, do very well in single-screen cinemas, masses-frequented multiplexes and smaller towns but its business in the better multiplexes will be limited. Reaching the safety mark (recovery of entire investment and some commission) should not be a problem, also becauĀ­se recovery from sale of satellite rights is sizeable (around 35% of the total investment).
