Most Divergent Takes

Korean Kanakaraju

Korean Kanakaraju

2026 · Gulte

Korean Kanakaraju is a mixed bag while it scores in the comedy department, it falters in the writing department. The movie works in Comedy Department thanks to Satya but the story right from the start to end reeks familiarity and convenient writing.

Rao Bahadur

Rao Bahadur

2026 · Gulte

Satyadev in the role of Bhuvanam Ramappa Rao Bahadur, delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance. However, the film may have issues and unfortunately, it appeared that Venkatesh Maha firmly believed that the final twist was the only reason for 'C/o Kancharapalem's' success and seemed to have first developed a twist and then wrote the story and screenplay around that twist for, Rao Bahadur, which makes the storytelling oscillate between very good to good to annoying.

Vishwanath & Sons

Vishwanath & Sons

2026 · Gulte

Overall, Vishwanath and Sons is a satisfying film with plenty of feel-good moments that are sure to touch everyone. Venky Atluri deserves to be appreciated for handling and narrating a sensible topic in a very elegant manner and without making it uncomfortable to watch.

Vaazha 2

Vaazha 2

2026 · Gulte

Vaazha 2 may not offer a new story, but its emotional depth makes it stand out. Director Savin SA presents a relatable coming-of-age tale about friendship, mistakes and consequences. However, there is an overdependence on recent pop culture references to generate quick laughs, and the pacing is slow, which might not appeal to everyone.

Irumudi

Irumudi

2026 · Gulte

Raviteja is most likely to earn a lot of respect for doing 'Irumudi'. Shiva Nirvana should be appreciated for coming up with such an empowering & hard-hitting film. At no point does the film get into the zone of being preachy. It is thought-provoking and yet entertaining to a large extent.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups

2026 · Gulte

Overall, everything that could go wrong had gone wrong for the Toxic. Except for lavish filmmaking with some technically brilliant portions here and there, there is nothing for the audience to get engaged with. It tests your patience and makes you restless with its confused screenplay.

I, Nobody

I, Nobody

2026 · Gulte

His screenplay and Nissam Basheer's direction failed to utilise the potential of the storyline and ended up coming up with a lengthy run-of-the-mill & unexciting heist drama. There's nothing intelligent that we find in the screenplay of the film, and what we see is a protagonist who involves himself in never-ending action sequences one after the other.

DC

DC

2026 · Gulte

Arun Matheswaran is one of the very few directors in India's current generation who make films that depict harsh societal realities with brutal honesty. The film is based on the novel but what we get to see is a film which is very original. Every sequence, every dialogue and every visual in the film oozes originality.

Alpha

Alpha

2026 · Gulte

Even if you step into the theatre with the least of expectations, Alpha will still fail to reach your lowest of low expectations. It is no exaggeration to say the team at YRF, were unable to come up with at least one engaging sequence in a film with around 140 minutes runtime.

Nagabandham

Nagabandham

2026 · Gulte

Nagabandham is an ambitious outing which should be commended for its technical output as the makers spent more on the making than remunerations. But then, a similar ambition is not felt in the writing department making it a disappointing fare.

Chennai Love Story

Chennai Love Story

2026 · Gulte

The breezy first half, effortless chemistry between the lead pair, Mani Sharma's soothing background score and a few heart-touching episodes made the film a satisfying watch, though the film suffers to an extent when it attempts to be different from other love stories in the second half.

Srinivasa Mangapuram

Srinivasa Mangapuram

2026 · Gulte

Srinivasa Mangapuram is a template with songs, fights, buildup shots, and dances which used to sell many years ago. Director Ajay Bhupathi missed the trick completely. The scenes that come do not have any freshness and are utterly predictable.

Jana Nayagan

Jana Nayagan

2026 · Gulte

Tamil films usually boast of superior technical output from almost all the technicians. However, Jana Nayagan is one of those very rare Tamil films where every technician delivered a below-par output. Unfortunately, everything H. Vinoth and team added to the core plot of the original, misfired big time.

HIT: The Third Case

HIT: The Third Case

2025 · Gulte

HIT3 is a decently engaging investigative thriller that can be watched in theatres for Nani's terrific performance, and a few very well-executed sequences. A bit more effort in writing and at least fifteen minutes of trimming would have made the film very engaging.
