Oopiri
2016 · Deccan Chronicle · Apr 2016
Despite its climax which drags a bit, Oopiri is a touching film, adapted well by Vamshi and ably supported by the cast. It marks another hit for Nag, who has shown the way in experimenting with his roles.

Krishnashtami
2016 · Deccan Chronicle · Feb 2016
On the whole, Krishnashtami is a predictable, outdated film based on an old formula.

Shankaraabharanam
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Dec 2015
The last 30 minutes is hilarious and is the highlight of the film. The title Sankarabharanam is only to garner attention and has nothing to do with the story. Also, the Bihar backdrop is not suited and it's a big minus point.

Kumari 21F
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Nov 2015
The film's first half is entertaining and the climax is very surprising. But the film also has many flaws. On one hand, the boy condones his friends' behaviour when they steal money from ATMs but when it comes to the girl, he takes on a holier-than-thou attitude. There are quite a few other inconsistencies. The second half is a bit slow and could have been made better. The film is a coming-of-age love story and definitely not for kids, given the adult dialogues and scenes.

Cheekati Rajyam
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Nov 2015
Though the second half is a bit slow, overall the movie is good as it is a nice departure from the regular masala films.

Akhil - The Power Of Jua
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Nov 2015
Prior to the release of Akhil, Nagarjuna had said often that he didn't want to repeat the same mistakes as his elder son Naga Chaitanya's debut film. Thus there were high expectations for Akhil, which, unfortunately did not live up to the standards. Akhil should wait for couple of years before doing this kind of a film. He should instead try his hand at a love story or something similar.

Bruce Lee - The Fighter
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Oct 2015
Bruce Lee, which is supposed to be a family entertainer, is a lacklustre action- drama. Srinu Vaitla seems to have lost touch and loses the plot in the middle. Even Chiranjeevi's cameo can't save him.

Rudhramadevi
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Oct 2015
The film, however, is a bit slow and lacks drama and emotion. The director has concentrated more on establishing Rudhramadevi's character but does not delve into her emotions much. The computer graphics too are not up to the mark. Watch Rudhramadevi for a glimpse into Telugu history and culture and how a woman struggled to regain power and cement her place in history.

Kick 2
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Aug 2015
Kick 2 offers some entertainment here and there. It's a typical Ravi Teja film with his mass dialogues and action, which attracts the front benchers. But when compared, Kick was far better than the sequel.

Bāhubali: The Beginning
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Jul 2015
Finally, 'Baahubali' is a computer graphic dominated film with a weak subject. Though the makers and many have gone gaga over this film as this is an epic, visual wonder, 'Baahubali' is neither an epic nor a great one. It falls under a commercial film with computer graphics. More over these kind of folklore films have come to Telugu cinema which the present generation is unaware of. If you look at the old NTR and ANR films, they are comparatively much better than 'Baahubali', remember those old films are classics and were made with no computer graphics. You can watch it once!

S/O Satyamurthy
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Apr 2015
When you come out of the theatre, you will be hard-pressed to remember a single good dialogue from the film. Not something we expect from Trivikram. The film is also stretched unnecessarily. The first half drags a bit. Instead of entertainment, loads of melodrama is forced upon us, but there is no emotional touch in it. The second half, meanwhile, is like a typical Srinu Vaitla comedy.

Temper
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Feb 2015
This is by far one of Jr NTR's best films. It is the ideal comeback he needed and he simply lives the role of Daya. Coupled with intense dialogue delivery, he is a winner all the way. Prakash Raj does his role with ease as he always does.

I
2015 · Deccan Chronicle · Jan 2015
While the movie is good technically, its content is just average.

Mukunda
2014 · Deccan Chronicle · Dec 2014
The songs are misplaced and come at the wrong time. Finally, it's not a regular commercial film, a typical Srikanth Addala kind of film, without the double meaning dialogues and vulgarity.

Rowdy Fellow
2014 · Deccan Chronicle · Nov 2014
... it's a good debut for Krishna Chaitnya as director as he comes up with a real problem. If Krishna Chaitanya addresses the issue as it is, this film could have been a good one, but there are many drawbacks and he shows the problem only in parts. But this film is fresh when comparing to the regular masala films.

Loukyam
2014 · Deccan Chronicle · Sep 2014
...the story is as said earlier routine, predictable and nothing new, but the only savinggrace at this point is the comedy. 'Loukyam' is an entertainer. Watch it for Gopichand and the hilarious comedy by Pruthvi and Brahmanandam.

Aagadu
2014 · Deccan Chronicle · Sep 2014
Though this film has many similarities of Srinu Vaitla's earlier films, but it's Mahesh Babu who has the audience's attention throughout. Watch it for him and more rely on him! The big question is will he pull this film into a big blockbuster?

Nee Jathaga Nenundali
2014 · Deccan Chronicle · Aug 2014
On the whole, this does not match up to the original.

Drushyam
2014 · Deccan Chronicle · Aug 2014
Despite its shortcomings, Drushyam is a must watch for people who are looking for a different type of Telugu film.
