Critic consensus
Critical reception for Akaash Vani is mixed to moderately positive, with most reviewers landing in the 60-70 range and one outlier scoring it as low as 30. The near-unanimous point of praise is the lead performances and on-screen chemistry of Nushrat Bharucha and Kartik Aaryan, which multiple critics singled out as the film's strongest asset. On the negative side, several reviewers found the climax predictable and formulaic, and at least one critic found the film dull overall. A few noted that it functions better as social drama than as a conventional love story.

With first-rate performances by both Nushrat and Kartik, this is one love story you can't afford to miss.

Appeals for the characters that Luv Ranjan has created as well as the buoyancy and gusto with which the principal actors bring alive the characters on screen. The movie contains just the right blend of sparkle and spice and is definitely worthy of a watch. Go for it!

This is a relevant film for parents and youngsters. It deals with a very complex situation, does not give you any answers and towards the end, sends you home allowing you to form your own views.

...makes women realize that it's more important to be happy and respected than being considered as righteous. It works strongly as social drama than a love story.

The film stands out in its make-believe moments. It makes you want to fall in love yet again, without really making a great impact on the mind – blame the tried and tested climax for that. But watch it for Nushrat and Kartik. The duo deserves an extra star for their performance. Three out of five from me for 'Akaash Vani'.

The film makes for a decent one time watch. Watch it just for the beautiful and enchanting chemistry of Nushrat and Kartik! A double thumbs up to the duo.
