To be fair, Avengers: Age of Ultron is a perfectly watchable film, and possibly better than a lot of action movies. The problem is, it doesn’t feel like a game-changer, or even particularly memorable in the manner that so many Marvel films tend to be. More importantly, it’s missing that sense of irreverent fun that oozed out of every pore of that other superhero ensemble – last year’s flat out brilliant Guardians of the Galaxy, which raised the bar pretty high. Go in with modest expectations, and you won’t be too disappointed.

…may well be a mainstream milkshake of a film, but it is one of those madly indulgent shakes — featuring Snickers bars and dark chocolate sauce and gourmet coffee and spiked with a few swallows of something decidedly adult. Something that’ll keep you giggling and energised and awake far longer than it should.

As Tony Stark would say about thousand-year-old whiskeys, drink up.

Besides jaw-dropping action set pieces, returning director/co-writer Joss Whedon infuses the dialogue with plenty of laugh-out loud one-liners.
The filmmaker also gets the viewer to invest in the character dynamics from the get-go. The budding romance between the gargantuan green-skinned Hulk (Ruffalo) and the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson, sultry as ever) forms the emotional core of the narrative.

It may not be the perfect sequel but it is an epic one.

…may not go down as a superhero classic, but it delivers what it’s meant to. And of course, it sets the scene for the Marvel instalments still to come. Mission accomplished.

Ultron is a work of agile craftsmanship from the cast and crew. As a director, Whedon has a good ear for dialogue and timing, and the film is a competent work of entertainment that is as satisfying as any work in this genre can be.

Is AOU better than The Avengers (2012)? It is definitely bigger in scale and there’s a romance brewing, but you miss Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his humour. If Avengers was a biryani, with all the flavours coming together seamlessly, AOU is a desi thaali, full of scrumptious dishes, but a tad in excess. It’s spectacular, yet can leave you exhausted.

It’s an entertaining film, nevertheless. The characters are now household names and with the dawn of new characters, is well worth your while to keep tabs on what’s gonna happen next.

…the film is brilliant for its own reasons. And one needs to watch it, irrespective of who says what. This weekend, take a trip to the Marvel world. Leave the dilemma outside the theatre.

This a must-watch superhero film and for all the Avengers fans. Enjoy full on action sprinkled with team spirit, romance and of course Tony Stark’s super entertaining banter with his team.

…with its stunning visuals and awe inspiring action sequences (especially in IMAX 3D and 3D), AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is definitely the movie to watch this weekend. With the strong fan base of the franchise, it is expected to open to full house all across.

There are some smart one liners but it is the climax that gives you your money’s worth and fair to say that the film ends on a high. All in all, if you don’t expect something sensational, you won’t be too disappointed.

While ‘Age of Ultron’ has all the ingredients of a good superhero movie, it’s sheer scale is its undoing. There are too many characters to be explored properly and the action is ‘unfeeling’.

…is a marvelously entertaining piece of cinema, with bombastic action, dollops of humor and a beating heart. Operating at a scale that is hard not to admire, it’ll leave you desperately waiting for the next Marvel film.

The film is sure to be an international blockbuster, and is worth every penny. Comic book buffs may be a little miffed with the small walk-aways from the original back stories. But the visual spectacle is going to keep the fans happy.

Not to be missed!

All things considered, Avengers: Age of Ultron is a noteworthy addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though it doesn’t live up to its predecessor, it is still an entertaining action flick for the summer. If you want to watch all your favorite heroes in action once again, this is your chance!

…is intense, spectacular and supremely fun. I’ve never subscribed to the theory that films are merely entertainment, but if films have to be entertainment, then Whedon shows the world that this is how it’s done.

For the average Joe, ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ is exactly what he needs – a bombastic helping of action, mayhem, prancing superheroes, flashy one liners, and even a romantic track to boot.

…this is the most cohesive Marvel movie till date. The Screenplay is just fantastic, every little loose end is tied up not only from this movie, but from the earlier ones and also sets up the Phase 3. I tried to find faults but I was having such a great time, they feel diminutive.
