There is no extra-melodrama, yet the movie is emotional. There are no crass jokes, yet it is humourous and to top it all, there are no love making scenes, yet the movie defines romance it its own style!
It is an experimental rom-com that should not be missed.

  • …an unusual romantic comedy, but for some powerhouse performances and genuinely good humour, this film is worth it.

  • This quirky rom-com is packed with chaos, drama and ample laughs. And its USP lies in the vibe and chemistry that the lead actors share, making it likable and a very attractive young romance…HTP is one of the most refreshing boy-meets-girl films to have been made in recent times. So go watch this zany, new-age date movie. This is one date you won’t regret.

With a runtime of 141 minutes, Mathew drags the movie into an endless Karan Johar (also the producer of the film) tribute, which could have easily been chopped down to a more bearable 100 minutes or less.

…is for the classes more than the masses. However, its very poor start on the one hand and the looming opposition of Gunday next week on the other will tell adversely on its overall performance at the box-office in the final tally.

  • Director Vinil Mathew’s debut feature film, Hasee Toh Phasee, is a smart and winning feint of that formula. It is an extremely likable balance between light and shade, the sadness in his beautiful lead woman sitting happily alongside her smiles. The sugar is pleasingly granular.

Hasee Toh Phasee is indeed a fun movie but sometimes the unwanted twists in the middle of the movie restrict the flow of the storyline.
Parineeti steals the show yet again.

  • After a feast of Bollywood films that paint their leading ladies as paragons of virtue and perfection, there comes along Hasee Toh Phasee. It’s a story about Meeta (Parineeti Chopra), a pill-popping scientist with a mind-boggling IQ. Unlike the perfect Juhu Janes in Bollywood, she’s gawky, has quirks that include eating toothpaste and is a borderline kleptomaniac.
