Tum Bin 2 is Anubhav Sinha’s rehash of his first film for the new audience. Millennials who’ve grown up with romances like The Notebook or the current crop of tweens and teens who enjoy movies like The Fault In Our Stars or Aashiqui 2 will have lots of meat in this light but breezy romantic saga.

The sequel of TUM BIN was perfect platform for Anubhav to make some serious noise as a filmmaker but alas! Still we keep this ‘fariyad’ (desire) in our dil (hearts) that Anubhav Sinha just not stick with endearing moments alone in his cinema, he gives an endearing 2+ hours cinema in future… a hint of 2019 was given in the film… just guessing.

  • Tum Bin 2 is a decent love story but has nothing new to offer. Anubhav Sinha has made a good attempt to tell a beautiful tale again, but couldn’t live up to our expectations. But for this weekend, Tum Bin 2 could be a nice option to watch if you are not suckers for action (Force 2) or adventure (Fantastic Beasts).

There’s a line in the film where one of the character says- Awaargi ke bhi apne alag maze hai ..Ek hi raaste se kahi baar gujro..toh aksar bahut si nayi baatein nazar aati hain..Toh shayad pehli baar mein hi dikh jaani chahiye thi …Toh shayad kabhi bhi nahi dikhni chahiye thi! Alas, but visiting the lanes of Tum Bin 2 even once is a tiring journey! This one is worth-a-skip!

  • Like the film’s dialoge ‘pyaar bewaja hota hai’, this film is also equally ‘bewajah’. Spare yourself from this romantic drama!

Despite its exotic locations, charming cast and soulful music, the film lacks a certain depth to keep it afloat. The story gets too slow and stretchy at times but it will no doubt tug at your heartstrings. While the script is another major let-down, the film is shot beautifully and is visually stunning.

  • The audience might not be overly dukhi with Tum Bin 2, especially owing to its commendably sophisticated soundtrack. But this sequel is unlikely to have anybody asking for more.

The only good thing about ‘Tum Bin 2’ is its melodious music, good-looking actors and their fair performances.

Neha Sharma and Aditya Seal star in a love story which is an instant throwback to the first film. But unlike Tum Bin, it fails to mix the elements wisely despite delivering some well executed moments.

Despite the odds, if you like old-fashioned love stories with great music, Tum Bin 2 is a partially heartrending tale that can be watched for its beautiful message and sincere execution.
