Bollywood Life's Film Reviews

“Furious 7″ is a high octane, over-the-top, adventure caper, that is frivolous in nature. It definitely caters to its fans’ expectations.

Bollywood has aimed to shell out several murder mysteries in the past and failed miserably. Detective Byomkesh Bakshy however is a treat to watch, especially for all Sherlock Holmes fans. Trust me, you will forget about the ruling Khans once you see Sushant in his killer detective avatar! I urge you to go and watch this film right away.

Ira Dubey plays the most interesting character in the fractured plot. She is an ambitious TV journalist chasing that one last scoop before her parents marry her off. This character deserves to be in a better film.

Despite these flaws, the movie is a must-watch for Sivakarthikeyan. He has excelled in the role of Mathimaran and carries the film on his shoulders. The actor is always a delight to watch on screen and this movie shows that he can play diverse roles. The movie has gotten off to a good start at the box office and this shows that Sivakarthikeyan is going to have a great 2015! It also looks like Wunderbar Productions have a winner on their hands.

It is not an everyday occurrence when a film manages to be witty, bold and classy at the same time. If you enjoy intense dark flicks, Badlapur is for you. Even if dark films are not your cup of tea, watch it for Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Varun Dhawan, who are the heart and soul of the film.

If you want to give yourself a hearty laugh, go watch this film. Take in the glitter flashed by Ram Rahim Singh’s colourful clothes and sing along with him as he gives hilarious performances on Roobaroo nights. Most importantly, go watch this film to realise how fear of God can influence people. I laughed initially but now I sit back, wondering on whether we can truly ever understand the meaning of God.

If you have an appetite for a slow-paced love story with philosophy, you’re probably going to like it but if, like me, you go in for some action to unfold, you’ll be extremely disappointed.

Overall, Mortdecai is truly a huge let down!

Well every venture has it’s pros and cons. Baby certainly has more of the former. The film is gripping, classy, sophisticated and well directed. With a stellar plot, memorable performance by Akshay Kumar and appealing sequences, I believe Baby is a venture which must be watched for it’s high class international quality!

Crazy Cukkad Family is definitely not one of the best comedies but of course you could go and watch it once for the sake of strong performances that have miserably drowned in this lame plot!
