Bollywood Life's Film Reviews

Sanam Teri Kasam had potential in the form of two promising debutantes Mawra Hocane and Harshavardhan Rane, but a regressive script and over the top direction killed it from becoming more than just another tragic love story.

This quirky-going-into-corny-going-into-horny film sets out to be Federico Fellini’s Amarcord, but ends up American Pie without the pie.

Watch Airlift coz it tells a very important story that never got a mention in our history books. And also because the attempt to try out such subjects and storylines is applause worthy. Only if there were less songs and an editor who could tighten the length, Airlift would be soaring newer heights.
-
Watch the film if you are a fan of the Telugu star and also if you want to watch a commercial movie with some style and character. It is surely a one time watch.
-
Watch the film only for the impressive performances of Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. However, if you are looking for a good thriller, you might go disappointed!
-
On the technical front, the film has good production values. The camera work, the background score and editing are precisely noteworthy. With a couple of terrific jump scares, the film certainly has its share of actual fright, but the real terrors are in the mind.
The film is worth watching for its treatment.

Romeo Juliet is entertaining in parts and can be watched for Hansika and Jayam Ravi, and Imman’s Dandanakka song.

This movie has involves a brilliant piece of writing and fantastic performances by Ramesh, Vignesh and Iyshwarya Rajesh. Don’t miss it!

I admit I had more expectations from MWAS, especially after the glowing reviews it had received from almost everyone in Bollywood. But that shouldn’t stop me from recommending this movie as a definite must-watch this weekend. After all, don’t we always complain about the lack of quality films in Bollywood? Margarita…may not be a masterpiece, but it certainly has its straw…sorry, heart in its right place!

Nanbenda is a light-hearted comedy that provides you laughs. This is a good summer treat because it’s not a heavy subject and doesn’t bore you. Santhanam keeps the laughs going and the film has something for everyone – comedy, romance and little bit of action. The whistles and claps for Santhanam, Udhay and Nayanthara in the theatre prove that it’s definitely worth a watch!
