Critic consensus

What 19 critics are saying

Critical reception for Drishyam: The Conclusion is broadly positive, with most reviewers finding it a satisfying and gripping conclusion to the franchise. Performances, particularly from Ajay Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat, and the tension-building of the final stretch are the most consistently praised elements across reviews. The most common criticisms center on a sluggish mid-section, over-reliance on convenient plot explanations, and a reduced emotional focus on the Salgaonkar family compared to earlier entries. A small number of dissenters felt the film prioritized thriller mechanics over the character depth that gave the franchise its emotional grounding.

    Film review

Director Abhishek Pathak gives us a conclusion which feels right: never taking away the palpable, stunned grief of the victim's parents, but also never letting the righteous Salgaonkars down by mealy-mouthed court proceedings. Devgn is as solid as ever as the unflappable, cinema-obsessed Salgaonkar who is always two steps ahead of the law, and Tabu's wounded eyes belonging to a mother unable to comprehend a world which doesn't have her only child are terrific.

    Film review

Come for Ajay Devgn, stay for Jaideep Ahlawat. The former delivers the goods. The latter adds weight, the sort that makes an indelible impression. It all adds up rather neatly to make Drishyam: The Conclusion a worthy parting shot.
  3. Bollywood Hungama

    Film review

Drishyam The Conclusion lives up to the mammoth expectations. This is, without doubt, the BEST FILM in the Drishyam franchise and also among the BEST FILMS of 2026. SURE-SHOT BLOCKBUSTER.
  4. KoiMoi

    Film review

Drishyam 3 is a finale that understands what made the franchise work in the first place: an ordinary man, an extraordinary mind, and a story told so well that everyone believes it. Ajay Devgn’s calm and Jaideep Ahlawat’s fire end the saga with confidence. Yes, it does talk a little too much in the middle. But when the film reaches the climax, you just say – What a finale! Proper commercial paisa vasool entertainer!
  5. FilmiBeat

    Film review

Drishyam 3 is a satisfying final chapter with enough suspense, twists, and strong performances. The suspense keeps building, the twists come at the right moments, and the film keeps making you question what Vijay has planned this time.
  6. India

    Film review

For audiences and cinephiles, Drishyam: The Conclusion delivers a gripping finale that lives up to the expectations around this much-loved franchise. Ajay Devgn remains the biggest draw as Vijay Salgaonkar while Jaideep Ahlawat adds a fresh edge to the conflict and Tabu brings emotional depth.
  7. MensXp

    Film review

If there is one franchise that knows how to make good mystery films in Bollywood, then it is this one. Drishyam: The Conclusion definitely delivers on what made the first two films captivating, with not a moment that goes by where you aren't on the edge of your seat. It is fun. It is entertaining. It is everything you wished for and worried that it should be.
  8. PinkVilla

    Film review

Drishyam: The Conclusion delivers where it matters most right from the writing, performances to building the tension, and climax. Abhishek Pathak successfully expands the franchise without losing its core identity, while Ajay Devgn remains its undisputed emotional anchor.
  9. TimesNowNews

    Film review

Drishyam 3 is an immensely satisfying conclusion to one of Bollywood's most loved thriller franchises. Abhishek Pathak understands what audiences expect from Vijay Salgaonkar and gives him a final challenge worthy of the character.
  10. 123Telugu

    Film review

On the whole, Drishyam: The Conclusion is a befitting finale to one of the best franchises in Indian cinema. An interesting original story, neat screenplay, situational comedy, and enthralling moments make this Ajay Devgn starrer a highly satisfactory watch.
  11. Filmfare

    Film review

The surprises are genuine. Just when you think you have figured out the next move, another piece of the puzzle falls into place. The final stretch, particularly the last 20 minutes or so, is the soul of the film. Drishyam: The Conclusion may not have the same darkness or dramatic intensity as Jeethu Joseph's Malayalam interpretation, but Abhishek Pathak has clearly chosen to play by his own rules.
  12. IndiaForums

    Film review

While the film occasionally takes its sweet time getting to the juicy bits, it eventually pulls you into a game where every clue matters, every conversation feels loaded, and trusting anyone seems like a terrible idea. The writing remains sharp, the performances are consistently engaging, and the final stretch brings a sense of closure that feels fitting for a franchise built on secrets, family and extraordinary levels of planning.
  13. MoneyControl

    Film review

The final chapter retains the tension and uneasy mood that made the first two films work. It answers several long-standing questions, though some explanations feel a little too convenient. Even so, the setting, performances, and tightly controlled screenplay prevent the film from losing its grip and make it an engaging watch.
  14. MovieTalkies

    Film review

It may not be a great film, but it is good enough to hold strongly at the box office for two-three weeks. The Drishyam brand, the audience's emotional connection with Vijay Salgaonkar and that finale should do the heavy lifting.
  15. Times Of India

    Film review

Drishyam 3 chooses to stick to the franchise's standard template rather than risk reinventing it. Still, its biggest strength remains its ability to keep you immersed and consistently anxious about what happens next. Drishyam 3 may not reinvent the game, but it knows exactly how to keep you playing.
  16. Hindustan Times

    Film review

In shifting the focus so decisively towards the thriller bit, the film loses some of the emotional grounding that gave the franchise its appeal. But when it comes to explaining how a school dropout like Vijay pulls off his latest bout of smart aleckness, the film relies entirely on convenience.
  17. News18

    Film review

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is a gripping and fast-paced thriller that understands the appeal of its franchise. It keeps you invested and benefits from strong performances, particularly from Ajay Devgn, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Kamlesh Sawant.
  18. Rediff

    Film review

Only the sluggish pace one has to endure to get there elicits more yawns than yays. No such character evolution is to be found in Drishyam: The Conclusion. It sidelines the emotional toll on Vijay, his wife Nandini and daughters for crowd-pleasing vindication.
  19. Mid-Day

    Film review

Drishyam The Conclusion delivers a twisty mystery as Jaideep Ahlawat's Rajveer Tomar closes in on Ajay Devgn's Vijay Salgaonkar. Strong performances, crisp writing and a satisfying climax keep the thriller engaging despite a few shortcomings.
