As for 1920 London, the film’s strength is the production design with it’s fancy English locations and authentic vintage cars on offer. The usual characteristics of a horror film, like eerie music, make-up, special effects and moody cinematography are all lackluster though. If you like genuine thrills you’d have to look away. This one’s just for gags.
 

Dimpled Rajasthani prince is suddenly possessed by an evil spirit that makes him contort horribly. Wifey goes back to her home state where cardboard cutout Royal family takes her to priest. It’s black magic! The only guy who can save her husband is her ex boyfriend. Or can he? The movie starts out to be interesting then goes through an entire checklist of horror movie cliches until you are weary…

So, yes, you don’t find it easy to call 1920 London outrightly horrible. Now, is it great cinema? Hah, that’s a laugh – of course it isn’t. It barely manages to be tolerable. However, if you go with your usual low expectations for a Bollywood horror film, you might find this just about passable.

1920 LONDON is an engrossing fare with the right amount of eerie and scary moments. It has its ample share of terrifying moments that one expects from a film about supernatural forces. It has the potential to appeal to all sections of audiences at the box-office.

1920 London is the third instalment of the franchise and I hope the last one. A complete failure in scaring, startling or even racing your hearts for that matter.

The third installment  of the 1920 series brings to you a lot of unexpected twists. Sharman’s acting in the movie makes up for a lot of bad things. The music and the location actually do make you believe it is London in the 20s and of course, the debut of the third Chopra sister in the Bollywood industry shouldn’t be missed!

Overall, don’t bother travelling back in time and give 1920 London a skip.

Sharman Joshi has been trying to experiment with different kinds of films but his strategy doesn’t seem to be working. He is a terrific actor but needs to very cautious while choosing scripts.

But if Sharman wasn’t in the film, 1920 London would have been a very painful ride. 

Besides one extended exorcism scene, and the painstaking make-up that shows Veer’s gradual degradation by the spirit, this is a drab effort with hardly a shock sandwiched between all the frills, frocks and Rajput finery.
Perhaps all the horror there was, has been sucked out of 1920.

This flick is just another Friday release, which can easily be checked off from your weekend bucket list.

An infinitesimal number, hopefully, do so chasing an “aatma” that resides in a locket in this Sharman Joshi, Meera Chopra starrer…

There isn’t an inkling of innovative thinking in the third installment of the 1920 series. The best thing that can be said about it is that it will remain one of the year’s funniest films.

Joshi might be on a quest to explore different kinds of roles, but he comes across as a misfit in this horror film. Barring an interesting twist in the first half, the second half falls into a glorious mess.
