3AM Reviews and Ratings
-
It isn’t really a smart script when one can predict the climax just half an hour into the film. The age-old formula of introducing Bhagavad Gita, among other things, to fight the ghosts makes it regressive and lazy too.
-
It delivers the fear quotient without resorting to cheap gimmicks or excessive gore. But all in all the movie is moderately scary and cannot be compared with cult Hindi horror movies like Bhooth. I guess the film deserves a one time watch.
-
If you can settle for an average supernatural thriller then 3 A.M. won’t disappoint you.
-
3 A.M. is such a horrifying experience. It makes you laugh at the makers while watching the film and when it gets over it makes you laugh at yourself.
-
3 AM, thus, had all the ingredients needed to execute an average horror product. Where it fails is in keeping the momentum up through to the end. Even if it had lost its enthusiasm in the climax, it could’ve been overlooked.
-
Although the film has a few good songs to its credit, but the force injection of commercial factors and resorting to Bollywood’s ideas of horror movies, makes ‘3AM’ another mediocre attempt. You can watch ‘3AM’ but there is nothing new, nothing great or nothing specific to recommend it for.

If you like Rannvijay, then please do not watch 3 A.M.. You would not want to see him in this movie. As said earlier, this film could have been a good spoof. If you are looking for a horror movie, then this is not it. Comedy? Absolutely.
-
…the story of a paranormal investigation gone wrong, both for the film and the viewer…For horror film lovers, 3 AM will evoke more chuckles than chills.

3 AM is a sharp slick scare-fest. It delivers the fear quotient without resorting to cheap gimmicks or excessive gore. This pyara para-normal experience may take you by surprise during a week when Hollywood unleashes a big-budget fear fest like Deliver Us From Evil.
-
Director Vishal Mahadkar gives us a film, an amalgamation of so many horror films, which in the end is neither completely original nor spooky. Venture in only if you’re not a hardcore horror fan.
-
I can watch 3AM once but it is no fun. Hardcore horror enthusiasts won’t even entertain the film because it is all textbook matter sprawled on celluloid. The film resorts to expected Ramsay props of Kaala Jaadu and more, and that’s where the tapestry thins beyond recognition. I did not loathe the film but it is no genius, not intelligent, nothing pathbreaking and borders on staple.

‘3 AM‘ has nothing new to offer. Although the film has some good songs to its credits. Rannvijay is back to doing what he does best – Rocking a reality show, but this time, a faux one that explores the country’s most haunted places.
-
…if you get scared easily then watch this film and have fun. And the rest of you, well watch it if you have nothing else to do this weekend!
-
The most frightening aspect of a horror movie these days is its predictability. In this context alone, 3 AM is fearsome.
