Hate Story 2 Reviews and Ratings
-
The leading lady doesn’t leave much of mark on her performance and Sushant Singh does the scowling and growling that is demanded of him. From being a tale of retribution Hate Story 2 ends up as a farce.
-
Hate Story 2 is a mix of sensuality and revenge drama weaved in a good story. So if you are a revenge saga fan, you shouldn’t miss this one.
-
Director Vishal Pandya could have gone all out and crafted a flamboyant saga of love, sex and dhoka. Instead, he settles for a gaudy half-tracker of a film-the kind that has a car harmlessly rolling bobbing down a slope instead of leaping from a cliff in flames.
-
Firstly, Hate Story 2 is not as sensuous as it appeared to be. Secondly, it doesn’t even come under thriller category. If you want to watch it for Aaj phir tumpe, go to youtube. Not worth your money.
-
All in all, the film Hate Story 2 can be a good watch for its exotic romance and thrilling revenge.
-
What it lacks is a strong plot for an erotic thriller. The film is certainly not high on sex as it`s trailer and posters promised. Dialogues are crisp and not unnecessarily burdened. The story line is quite stale and script quite illogical. Apart from that the story is quite overdone and predictable. Quite a disappointing thriller as it fails to keep you engaged.
-
Hate Story 2’s story is the barest-minimum required for a revenge saga. It has none of the layers, substance of the original. And its characters are like chess pieces programmed to play single-line roles: bad man, bruised girl. He moves one square, she moves one square.
-
A stale plot with flatly executed scenes of retribution and a lacklustre leading lady; Hate Story 2 is too trivial to be erotic or thrilling…
-
Hate Story 2 is marketed as an erotic thriller, and scores pretty low on both the erotic and thriller counts. It’s a revenge drama, straight and simple, with some elements of erotica and thrills folded in. The film is a drag for the most part, but it’s still better than some of the “100 crore” films thrown in the audience’s face in the name of entertainment.
-
An unabashed adult flick that fails to address both the corporeal and emotional needs! It is a predictable story that pans out in a predictable fashion with the galleries treated to tastefully shot skin show.
-
By the end, Hate Story 2 becomes so random you can hardly make sense of it. Yes art can be ambiguous. But when it’s stupid, it’s not art at all.
-
…might survive, courtesy the huge fan following of TV actors Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali, but what a disappointing thriller they’ll have to endure.
-
Overall, Hate Story 2 does not entice. It certainly does not entertain. Not unless stilettos and pink lips are what turn you on! Revenge sagas can be done better. Even if you have to mandatorily include skin show and sex.
-
HATE STORY 2 is a slick film with powerful performances. You won’t regret watching this one!
-
Hate Story 2 has strong performances but fails to impress. Unlike the Paoli Dam-starrer prequel Hate Story, this one is not high on sex. All you have is Sunny Leone’s item song Pink Lips so weirdly forced into the plot that it looks like an advertisement.
-
If you want to be tiltated and seduced into watching a woman oriented revenge drama with lots of skin show and a Sunny Leone item song, then Hate Story 2 is the ticket to buy.
-
All in all, it’s not a bad film. Which also means that it could have been lot better given that it has a decent plot to fall back on.
-
Hate Story 2 is a revenge drama on the lines of Rakesh Roshan’s Khoon Bhari Maang and Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies. What it lacks is an A-grade star cast. Also, this one is slightly more predictable in pattern. However, the doses of erotica added to the screenplay just to give it that gleeful taste work well.

The sequel of the 2012 ‘Hate Story’ gives us a new vengeful woman. She’s been wronged by, who else, a man. And she will stop at nothing to get back at him.
Singh is competent , but even he can’t do much with a plot that keeps him in repeat mode. Chawla shows occasional spark, but that’s not enough to front a full film. Even Sunny Leone’s pink lips, which she pouts most enticingly in a song, don’t do the trick. -
Hate Story 2 is a shabbier, incoherent, clumsier and low of thrills sequel of its B-grade cheesy predecessor. Despite the grave flaws, Hate Story was atleast watchable. Hate Story 2 disappoints in every department. And though the lead lady shows some promise, the film doesn’t even rise up to mediocrity. It is crass and revels at it. I am going with 1/5. Revenge dramas can be very alluring. A certain Khoon Bhari Maang is a classic example of how this genre can be terrific. But when you aspire low, you achieve low.

HATE STORY-2 is a riveting saga of a woman’s vendetta against the man who wronged her. Additionally, the combo of skin show and melodious music add tremendous value to the project. This film has the potential to woo the masses and the youth, thus springing a big surprise at the ticket window!
